For the third consecutive year, the Peterborough City U17 Girls team has won the top division (Vapor Black) at the Ottawa Showcase of Champions. Competing in the U18 division this past weekend (August 5-7), the girls produced a 4-0 record. They topped the division with three wins in the round-robin and went on to defeat Waterloo United by a score of 4 – 2 in the Championship final.
Earlier this year the U17 Girls won their division at the Peterborough Challenge Cup and reached the semifinal stage of the USA Cup International Tournament in Minnesota. The are currently undefeated with four games remaining in CSL league play, sporting a perfect record of 11 wins and no losses. They take on Stouffville in the semifinal of the CSL Cup competition on August 21.
