Selection of players for next year’s U10 – U18 Girls and Boys teams as well as U21 and Senior Women’s and Men’s teams takes place following tryouts at the end of September. Orientation days for players interested in the U6 – U9 Development Programs are held at the same time.
Schedules and other details for Orientation and Tryouts Days for 2024 will be posted here at the beginning of September 2023.
What Happens After Tryouts?
The playing season runs from mid-May to August or early-September. Depending on the age division, indoor and outdoor training, development and conditioning sessions take place over a much longer period.
When orientation/tryouts are over, your main source of information will be the head coach of your age division. If you need additional information about the selection process you should contact the Director of Coaching.

What do I do if I missed the tryouts in September?
For U10 and older teams you can contact the PCSA Director of Coaching by email to ask whether there is any space available in your child’s age division.
The U6-U9 Development Programs operate on an open registration basis until March 1. Please contact the PCSA Registrar to register your child in these programs.

*LTPD is an acronym for Long Term Player Development, which is the Ontario Soccer mandatory program for delivery of age appropriate skills development and competition at the various stages of development for ages U5 to adult. The Long Term Player Development platform for players in the U12 and younger age divisions is called Grassroots Soccer. The goal of Grassroots Soccer is to provide the best learning environment for these young players to master fundamental soccer skills while having fun, rather than emphasizing winning at all costs.
