The recipients of the Mark Forster Scholarship for 2026 were announced recently. Congratulations to Carys Bergman-Tearne (York University – Liberal Arts and Professional Studies) and Kaia English (Carleton University – Neuroscience and Biology). Carys and Kaia played together on this year’s Peterborough City U18 Girls team.
The Mark Forster Scholarship was established by the Peterborough City Soccer Club to commemorate the memory of Mark Forster, a former Peterborough City Men’s player who died tragically as the result of an illness in 1988 at the age of 25.
Mark’s parents, Fred and Margaret, in the photo above with Carys, presented the awards at the Marvin Buchan Sports Complex (aka the clubhouse) on Tuesday (August 18). We wish Carys and Kaia and all PCSC high school graduates the best of luck in the coming year.
