No Ref – No Game

Match Official abuse is a common problem that can be felt across most sports. It is an issue that threatens the viability of our sport given games cannot take place without officiating. Many of our teenage referees, some as young as 14, also play on a regular team, just like your son or daughter. They are developing their refereeing skills along with their playing skills. They deserve the same patience, understanding, kindness, mentoring and protection that your son/daughter does while they work on improving their refereeing skills.

Maltreatment is the number one factor affecting retention of referees. It is not OK to Dispute, Disrespect, Insult, Argue, Berate, Yell at, or worse, Threaten the Referee in any way, shape or form. PCSC has a zero tolerance policy with regards to referee abuse. Be Kind! Remember, No Ref, No Game.
