The Peterborough City Soccer Association provides player development and playing opportunities at the representative level for youth and adult soccer players in the greater Peterborough area. Players Wanted

Senior Men

The PCSA Men’s team is continuing to recruit players for two senior teams for the 2020 outdoor season. The teams will play in two different divisions of the Ontario Soccer League starting in May. Interested players should contact head coach Biren by email for tryout information.

Senior Women

The Senior Women’s team is also seeking players who are interested in playing this summer in the Ontario Women’s Soccer League. The season runs from the middle of May until the end of August. If you would like to take your game to the next level and make some new friends who share your passion for sport please contact Coach John.

U14 – U15 Boys and Girls

PCSA is seeking to create some additional teams in age divisions that have sufficient players to warrant a second team or a team that combines players from two age divisions. All players who have not yet been assigned to a PCSA team are invited to contact the team head coach or the Director of Coaching, Scott Cockburn.

U11 Boys

PCSA has space for a few additional players on its U11 Boys squad. If you were born in 2009 and are athletically inclined please contact the U11 Boys head coach Vic Waselenko.


After the holidays ….

Winter training for all U9 to U18 teams got underway on the weekend of January 4/5 at the Spiplex. See – winter training schedule.

The U8 Development Program starts up in April while the U6/U7 Program starts in May.


Open Registration for U6/7 & U8 Programs

The PCSA U6/7 and U8 Development Programs are designed to teach a broad range of basic soccer skills to players at the FUNdamental stage of Long Term Player Development.

The U8 Development Program, which is open to girls and boys who were born in 2012, begins with indoor training at the Spiplex Sports Dome in April (after Easter). The program moves outdoors from May to July with twice weekly development sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays comprising fun activities and small-sided games. Players will also participate in six district festivals in Peterborough and nearby soccer communities.

The U6/7 Development Program for girls and boys who were born in 2013-2014 starts in May.

There are no tryouts or prerequisites since everyone at this age can benefit from these programs. You can register instantly on PowerUp or contact coach Leanne if you would like more information.



Fun Fact

Canada crashed out of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 in the round of 16 following a 1 – 0 loss to Sweden on June 24 in Paris. Canada had several scoring opportunities, including a penalty kick late in the game, but failed to convert. Sweden went on to finish the tournament in third place.
Canada slipped three places to 8th in world ranking, their lowest position since winning the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
