The Government of Ontario recently announced that it was lifting the province-wide stay-at-home order in most regions. In its place it has re-introduced the Green – Yellow – Orange – Red – Lockdown designations for each region.

Reality Check: Even in the least restricted regions designated Green, Yellow, and Orange, the Maximum “Competitive Bubble” is 50 players, roughly the equivalent of 3 teams. Teams must isolate for 14 days before changing bubbles.

2021 Season

The PCSA board is hoping that the 2021 season can commence in the spring when training can be held outdoors. It is difficult to predict how the pandemic will affect our lives and our activities when that time comes. We can only hope for the best and prepare accordingly. Naturally, any plans we make will be subject to the Public Health advice in effect at any given time, recognizing that this advice changes frequently.

2021 Tryouts

Players who registered for the cancelled 2020 season will be automatically eligible to register with the same squad when play resumes in 2021. They will not be required to try out again. New players will be able to try out if there are vacancies on the team. Returning players as well as any new prospective players should contact the Director of Coaching to confirm their interest in playing in 2021.

2020 Annual General Meeting

The PCSA Annual General Meeting normally takes place in December each year. Due to the current restrictions on indoor gatherings and with a view to permitting greater participation by the members, the Board has decided to postpone the 2020 AGM until the spring of 2021. The new date will be announced in due course.

In the Meantime …
